Songs have the power to bring together communities all over the world. Whether it be traditional folk songs or nursery rhymes, pop songs or church hymns: collective singing can unite people in a more powerful way than almost anything else.
Your child will learn to sing traditional songs from Africa and Brazil, introducing them to the rhythmical and melodic language of music.
Genres of song we will learn include:
- Kpanlogo (Ghana)
- Maracatu (north-east Brazil)
- Malinke (Upper Guinea)
- Susu (Maritime Guinea)
